Football cupcakes

 

Chocolate muffins:
125g flour
125g unsalted butter
250g sugar
200g dark chocolate
4 eggs
1/2 package instant yeast
Your favorite chocolate topping

  1. Preheat oven at 180ºC
  2. Melt the chocolate
  3. Off the heat, add the butter, flour and yeast
  4. Beat on slow speed the egg yolks with the sugar and a little bit of water
  5. Mix the chocolate
  6. Beat the egg whites until firm, add the other ingredients then fold them gently with a spoon
  7. Cook for 35 minutes or until the tip of the knife is clean.
  8. Leave them to cool before adding the chocolate topping

Fondant:
1 package of white marshmallows
Glazed sugar

1. Put the marshmallows in the microwave for around 30 seconds, or until you see they start to inflate
2. Use a greased spoon to slowly mix the marshmallows and glazed sugar
3. Keep adding sugar and mixing with the spoon until it becomes harder and you can manipulate it with your hands
4. Use a greased cling film to put it in the fridge for some hours
5. Take it out of the fridge 10 minutes before using it
6. Use special fondant colors to color it and make the shapes

Ball:
10 white fondant balls
6 black fondant balls

Do them the same size then stick them together with water. I used the half of an Oreo cookie to support my fondant’s soccer ball.
